Postcards
Greetings from Asbury Park! It's August of 1913. Ciro and his mother Petronilla
are taking a little vacation from the heat of Brooklyn and Ciro sends a postcard
back to his wife who has just given birth to her sixth child (my father, in February)
and had to stay behind to take care of the kids. Sister-in-law is Carmela Lanzaro
LaMura, wife of Catello LaMura.
A 1916 Christmas postcard to Petronilla, who now lives in Morganville, from Leona
Blanck Wenzel, a year before she married Joe LaMura.
A postcard to Petronilla in August of 1920 from her 19-year-old granddaughter
Millie (Mildred) LaMura, a year before she married Charlie Mastellone.
Curiously, she signs it "niece."
