Donny was the son of Joe and Evelyn Lanzaro. He was a fire policeman of the Morganville Fire Company when he became ill from the effects of kidney disease.
After an extended period of treatments, he died in the Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York on September 14, 1959. He was only 22. He was buried at St. Gabriels' Cemetery in Marlboro.
