Jane Ellison Segrist and Lorenzo DiSanto Marriage Records
George Siegrist was Jane (Jennie) Ellison's first husband. Jennie was born in England, but the confusing contradiction on the license application says both "of Florida" and "of New York".
This may simply refer to her recent or current residence rather than birthplace.
Jennie's daughter, Rose Ellison, was born in Florida on April 20, 1891, just four weeks after the marriage, although I have not been able to locate her birth certificate.
All other documents for Rose list her surname as Ellison.
According to the 1900 Federal Census, Jennie was married to Lorenzo DiSanto and living in Matawan, New Jersey.
The Census states they had been married for 5 years (1895). I have not been able to locate a marriage record from that time period. But, to make the mystery even more mystifying,
I did locate the marriage certificate below dated December 15, 1904.
