Frederick Wenzel and Rose Kostak Marriage

From the Thursday, July 9, 1931 edition of the Keyport Enterprise Newspaper.

Frederick Wenzel and Rose Kostak Marriage

Miss Rose Kostak, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Kostak of 18 Gaston Street, Matawan Township, became the bride of Frederick Wenzel, son of Mrs. Joseph LaMura of Morganville, at a pretty wedding in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport, at 9 o’clock in the morning on July Fourth, which was also the bride’s birthday. The ring ceremony and high mass was performed by Rev. John P. Burke, rector of the church.

The bride, given away by her father, wore a white satin dress trimmed with rose point lace with a tulle veil of rose point lace caught up with orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of roses and lilies of the valley.

Miss Mary Kaboski of South Amboy, was the maid of honor, Miss Carmela LaMura of Morganville, the bridesmaid, while the flower girls were Lorraine Arose and Leona LaMura. Alfred LaMura was the ring bearer.

The best man was Victor Wenzel, a brother of the groom. The usher was Stephan Kostak, a brother of the bride. Mrs. Charles Mastellone, of Little Street, Matawan, rendered a vocal solo during the ceremony.

The bride and groom left during the reception for Canada, where they will spend a two week’s honeymoon.

Mr. Wenzel is employed by Jacquelin and DeCoppet, stock brokers in New York City. Mrs. Wenzel has been employed in the office of former Prosecutor John E. Toolan, in Perth Amboy.
