The woman seated is an unnamed friend of the sisters.
The photo was probably taken in the yard of the family home on Gerard Avenue.
That home and others on Gerard were moved or demolished to make room for the new Garden State Parkway.
It was because of this that Loretta and her mother moved in with sister Helen and her husband Charles Wichowski.
