Mariano Bellavigna Family
Mariano was born in Ancona, Italy on September 14, 1846. He was the younger brother of Domenico Bellavigna (1842-1891). There was an older brother named Giuseppe Bellavigna (1833-1882). Their parents were Francesco Bellavigna (1800-1858) and Soccorsa Storari (1804-1855).
Mariano married Adela Gregori in Ancona on June 16, 1869. Aristodemo (1872-1946) is the result of that marriage. They also had a child that died in 1870 (the record did not say the gender or age). Adela died on March 26, 1873. Mariano then married Vittoria Blazo on October 21, 1877 and they had Frederick (1878-1939). Vittoria died in 1878, possibly giving birth to Frederick.
Mariano left Italy in 1878 and went to America, settled in Hoboken, New Jersey and married for a third time to Amalia Dassori on June 9, 1888. The marriage took place in Manhattan where Amalia appears to have been living in the Little Italy section at the time.
Amalia was the mother of the remaining children in the photo: Rose (1889-1955), Sylvia (1891-1985), Frank (1893-1926, Cornelia (1896-1913), and Godfrey (1899-1941). Amalia was also the mother of Katherine (1880-1918) from her first marriage to Nicolo Schiaffino (1855-1887).
Kris's husband is the grandson of Frank, as Kris points out, the one with the mischievous smile. In fact, he's the only one smiling.
