Joe, Peg, Bob & Mary

Joe and Peg (Alys) Nori, and Joe's sister Mary with her husband Bob Williams, sometime in the 1990's. The location was Joe and Peg's house in Glen Oaks, NY. Mary and Bob had come down from Plattsburgh, NY where they lived (Mary still lives there). The occasion was one of many pleasant visits. Nothing other than family love.

A note about Peg (Alys) - She was born Alys Patricia Rance in England on August 29, 1922. According to Joe, she had been called Peggy all her life. It seems the midwife who delivered her said she looked like a "sweet little Peggy" when she was born and her family adopted that nickname. Also, she was named after her paternal grandmother whose name was Alice, but her mother used the Welsh version which was Alys.
