Cousin Marlene LaMura sent me this photo of her grandfather. Her sharp-eyed sister Jan noticed a
figure in the background who appears to be standing on something that looks like a tank of some kind.
An enlargement of the "tank man." He appears to be shirtless or wearing a skin-colored shirt.
Since that is the Lanzaro house in the background, Marlene wondered if the tank man could be
my father. She estimated the photo to be around 1940. I tend to disagree and place the date
closer to 1930. Joe would be 42 in 1930 and my father 17. Furthermore, my father's older
brothers were all still living at home. Perhaps this is one of them. No idea what the "tank" might be.
