Frank Lanzaro serving in the Army During World War Two
Frank was inducted into the Army on November 19, 1942 and served honorably until his discharge at Fort Dix, New Jersey on Christmas Eve 1945.
He earned the American Service Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. According to his discharge papers,
he was 5' 6" tall and weighed 198 pounds, with Blue eyes and brown hair. He had been in college for one and a half years
when he was inducted. I do not know if he was drafted or volunteered.
Here he is with his father, Jim.
While he was still in uniform, he married Anne on June 4, 1944.
On the back of this photo, someone wrote "Coney Island July 6, 1943" and "Ray Andreas" and "Ray Root".
That's Frank in the center, rear of the photo. I don't know who the others are, or who Ray Andreas and Ray Root were.
