A Cerebral Embolism is a blood clot that originates somewhere else in the body, usually in the heart or in the neck blood vessels, that then travels to the brain. This creates a blockage of blood flow to the brain and causes a stroke. Auricular, or Atrial Fibrillation (also called AFib or AF) is a quivering or irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia) that can lead to blood clots, stroke, heart failure and other heart-related complications.
