Cause of death: Cardiac Asthma

Cardiac Asthma is not a form of asthma. It's a type of coughing or wheezing that occurs with left heart failure. If the symptoms are severe enough, the wheezing can be a medical emergency. Heart failure can cause fluid to build up in the lungs and in and around the airways. Mitral Systolic was listed as a contributory cause of death. This refers to the regurgitation of the blood back through the heart valves.
