died December 19, 1944 in Morganville, NJ, age 63 years.

Cause of death: Hepatic Failure / Carcinoma of the Liver

Ciro died of hepatic (liver) failure due to carcinoma (cancer). The husband of the late Louisa Leier Lanzaro (1884-1920), and my grandfather, Ciro was sometimes known as Eugene. He had been diagnosed with liver cancer four months before his death at his home at the farmhouse in Morganville. He died one month before I was born. He was buried with his wife, mother and three baby sons in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Keyport, NJ.
