died July 27, 1934 at the South Amboy Memorial Hospital in South Amboy, NJ, age 22 years.

Cause of death: Streptococcemis following misscarriage

Loretta was Mike LaMura's first wife. They were married November 20, 1932. Loretta was working as an operator for the New York Telephone Company and living with her husband at 332 Union Street in Brooklyn when she died.

Streptococcus: A group of bacteria, familiarly known as strep, that cause a multitude of diseases, including strep throat, strep pneumonia, scarlet fever, rheumatic fever (and rheumatic heart valve damage), and the skin disorder erysipelas (skin-eating disease). Although her death certificate says she died following a miscarriage, the baby survived. Her name was Marie and she died ten years later in October 1944. Mike remarried, to Gertrude Horn in November 1935.

Loretta was buried at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn.
