This was the home of the Timms family in the 1920's and 30's. Marie Timms married Albert Heinrich Lau in 1927. By 1940, Marie and Albert were living here with their son, John A. Lau, Albert's mother Annie, and his family members, including his widowed sisters Gussie Johnson and Anna Wilhelms (and her son Albert G. Wilhelms), and Marie's brother, William Timms.

Between 1939 and 1941, New York City photographed every building in the five boroughs for tax purposes.
