311-315 Court Street

In May of 1937, John Olinerio was renting a room at 315 Court Street, just two doors away from John and Josephine Lanzaro's music store at 311 Court Street, where their daughter Lizzie would most certainly have frequented and thus became acquainted with John Olinerio. It was around this time that John Lanzaro closed the business and went into real estate. In any case, his music store was no longer there in 1940 when the photo was taken.
Between 1939 and 1941, New York City photographed every building in the five boroughs for tax purposes.
