The Capoziello family with 10+ children lived in the rear of this house from around 1909 to at least the death of Lucy Capoziello on February 26, 1946. Her husband Matteo died of a heart attack here on April 12, 1923 at the age of 44.

Between 1939 and 1941, New York City photographed every building in the five boroughs for tax purposes.
