According to Joanne (Durante) Grennan, the daughter of Luke Durante, the house in the background is where Ann and her husband Joe Vecchio lived,
330 Maple Avenue in Keyport. This is very close to St. Joseph's Church, and not far from the Oak Shades section of Matawan where the Durante clan originated.
Gene and Ann are standing in the yard of Mrs. Fannie Cox, who lived on May Street in Keyport. Fannie was good friends with the Durante, Vecchio and Wichowski Families.
Joanne says her Aunt Loretta Durante was the Church organist for St. Joseph’s Church and Fannie was the soprano who sang for services at the same Church.
